Wythall has expanded from a small number of houses in bursts of activity - lying on the edge of the Green belt between Bromsgrove, Solihull and Birmingham the green fields are currently subject to planning restrictions. Cleary there are mixed feelings with regard to the prospect of future development.

There has been a noticeable trend in Wythall for builders desperate for land to meet the strong demand for new housing in the area to buy up large houses with good size gardens and turn those plots in to new housing developments.
