Employment in Wythall is above the national average but this is very much a "dormitory town" whilst there are a small number of major employers in the area this is very much somewhere dominated by small businesses and those who take advantage of the excellent road network to commute to work each day.
Wythall has very few industrial estates but is fortunate in having a good selection of local shops and establishments selling takeaway food.
Brittanic hidden amongst the trees close to Becketts Island is the largest employer followed by the local schools and Kilby's.
